28 August | Back in Germany! | | It was a real great time back in Estonia. Met a lot of friends, buit more about that another time!
I decided to give a short summary of the last weeks in my life:
Some days ago I made another trip into the Alpes! Wanted to make a picknick and go swimming in a lake in the mountains. So I decided to go to Spitzing again, that’s the place where I went skiing to in March.
Frank, my flatmate and I drove in direction to the mountains, when we got into an traffic-jam. No move anymore! And then it was on the radio, there was a sports event in Spitzing, the annual “Alpen-Challenge”, it’s a triathlon, took place and all the streets to Spitzing were closed, because the finish was exactly there! Sh….!!! So what should we do? I really wanted to stay in the Alpes! Ok, we went to the Tegernsee, which is nearby. And it’s also quite beautiful there, but really touristic!!! We didn’t find a good place for having a picknick and go swimming! And finally we decided to go back to Spitzing and now we could! And it was worth it, it’s a really amazing and beautiful place. Ok, because of all the athletes it was a bit crowded, but anyway, we had our picknick and we went swimming! And this little lake in the mountains is f… cold, really! But you have to go inside and enjoy the panoramic view and feel the atmosphere…
No more words, just see the pics!
Soccer-world-cup in Germany
It was a great time for my country, the atmosphere in the cities, in the streets, in the pubs, everywhere it was great! Party everywhere, everytime, with everybody! Amazing! And ok, at first the Germans have been quite disappointed, when we lost against Italy, but the next day we parties on and enjoyed the match against Portugal also! I saw nearly every game…some at home, some in pubs, some at the airport in a public viewing area and at the dorm! And I really liked this time, so what now? Without soccer?!? Need a new leisure activity!!! HELP ME!
Yeah, I didn’t write about my job at the world cup so far, but I will! I promise! And I will put some pictures on the webpage!
As I wrote some time ago, I went back to Estonia once again. Second time after leaving Tallinn.
This time most of my friends have left Estonia already, because exams were over, semster ended and they went home back in their countries! How bad! But some are stillt there and they are worth to visit anyway! And Õllesummer was also!!! So I flew to Tallinn on 6th of July and stayed untill 11th . I met Kathi and her sister every day! We went swimming in Kakumäe and Vääna-Jõesuu, watched soccer (GER-PORT) in Molly Malones, went to Õllesummer and had a really great time together. Once I went to Aegviidu, 40 km south-east of Tallinn for hiking in a swamp. But hiking in a swamp at nearly 35°C and a lot of mosquitos isn’t a very good idea. It wasn’t that bad and nature is amazing there, but I prefered going swimming in the Sea a lot more!!! Don’t have a sea here at Munich ! And I went to the big water fall (Jägala-Joa), where we went to on the weddding trip with IC in February to Ida-Eesti. And you know people were swimming at the place where we were walking on the ice in winter! It was great.
One evening I met Guillaume, John and Antoine! We watched the world-cup final France against Italy, poor french guys! But it was good to be with you, anyway!
I didn’t go to Old Town really, because there were tourist everywhere. It was really awful!
I have to say, it was a really, really brilliant time in Estonia in summer. It’s so beautiful, I don’t have words for that, just: I HAVE TO COME BACK!!!!!!
See the pics!
Lot more about my last trip, soon!
Bye

| 21 August | Tallinn IV. | | Yes, it's true! I'm going again!!!
Here at home, I had a hard time, working and working and working, so I NEED vacation!
And this time it's Kathi's last week in Estonia. She is flying back to Germany on Monday and start studying in Freiburg next semester.
And Ina, from Dresden and Matthias from Switzerland are also in town! Brilliant!!! Matthias and I are travelling together from Frankfurt to Tallinn, hope that we will find us at Frankfurt airport. I've never been outside the transit-area!
I don't have certain plans for this trip. Just want to see KUMU (Art Museum of Estonia), finally, cause all the time I went there it was Monday and there it's closed!!! So hopefully this time I will make it! And I want to go to TFTAK, the lab I worked in to see my workmates, especially Kerti. She went to Montréal in January and now she's back. I'm really happy to see my little girl again!
Hope it will be not raining all the time...but anyway I think, I will have fun and I hope to recover a little bit to continue my masterthesis when I'm back.
Take care my friends.
Cheers

| 9 August | Hannah's birthday 29.07.06 | | Hey, here I am again!!!
As I told you, my dear friend Hannah had her 30th birthday party. She was my flatmate here in Freising and we studied together, but she went to Hamburg to write her thesis and after that straight to the UK, where she now is working for Pfizer. So we don’t meet so often anymore. But for her birthday she invited everybody to a place near her parents place, nearby Augsburg (60 km west of Munich). And for sure I had to go there!!!
I hoped that there would be some more old friends of us. And there were! Kati, actually we went there together and Alma, both from Freising came! It was really great to party with them once again, only Pam, she is living and working in Lille, France now, was really missing. But we made Hannah a weekend trip to an european city with us, Kati, Alma, Pam and me as a present, so we will be together for a couple of days again quite soon!
It was a quite big birthday party, Hannah wasn’t celebrating alone, she had a friend also celebrating her 30th and her mother her 50th birthday! So there were a lot of people. Some of Hannah’s friends and her boss from the UK have been there, too. We had a suckling pig, it was yummi. Thank you Hannah for this great evening/night!
And so we will see each other soon in another european city, maybe Brussels in October?!?
Take care and stay tuned for the next adventure in my life!
